Open chrome://extensions in Chrome (or any Chromium browser — Edge, Brave, Arc)
Toggle Developer mode (top-right)
Unzip the file you just downloaded
Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder
The extension icon appears in your toolbar — click it to use

What this extension can (and can't) do

Chrome extensions run inside your browser. They can read and modify the pages you actively visit — nothing on your computer beyond the browser tab. The manifest.json declares exactly which permissions the extension asks for, and Chrome asks you to approve them at install time. You can review any extension's permissions before installing under Details in chrome://extensions.

ComplyWatch — Policy Change Monitor runs locally in your browser. It does not send your browsing history to a server, does not sync data to a CYZOR account (there's no account), and cannot see anything outside the tabs it's actively working on. Uninstalling removes both the extension and every setting it stored — Chrome handles the cleanup, nothing lingers on our side.

If the sideload install fails

Most sideload errors come from one of three things:

You picked the ZIP instead of the unzipped folder. Chrome loads a folder, not a ZIP. Unzip first, then point Chrome at the resulting folder that contains manifest.json.
Developer mode is off. Toggle it in the top-right corner of chrome://extensions — the Load unpacked button only appears when it's on.
Your organization's Chrome policy blocks sideloading. Some managed Chrome installs (work laptops) disable Developer Mode. In that case, install from the Chrome Web Store instead when the listing goes live.

No cloud infrastructure to fund, no per-user cost. We monetize elsewhere on the site (paid printables, done-for-you services, the AI receptionist) — this extension isn't a lead magnet or a stealth upsell.
