# Trip Planner & Travel Budget

## Overview
A single‑page hub that gives you a clear snapshot of every upcoming trip, from dates and destinations to total budget and key documents. Use the **Trip Dashboard** (see next section) to jump straight to the most relevant sub‑pages.

> 💡 Tip: Duplicate the whole page for each new trip and rename the duplicate to keep a clean history of past travels.

## How to import into Notion
1. **Create a new page** in your Notion workspace where you want the template.
2. Click **“Import”** → select **“Markdown & CSV”**, then upload this `.md` file.
3. Notion will render each heading as a sub‑page. **Rename** the top‑level page to your trip name.
4. For every table marked as a **database** (e.g., “Budget Tracker”), click the three‑dot menu → **“Turn into database”** → choose **Table** view.
5. Add the necessary **Relation** and **Rollup** properties:
   - In “Accommodation”, create a Relation to “Budget Tracker” (link on “Cost (USD)”).
   - In “Transportation”, create a Relation to “Budget Tracker”.
   - In “Budget Tracker”, add a Rollup on “Cost (USD)” filtered by “Paid?” = ✅ to get “Total Spent”.
6. Adjust **views** (Calendar, Gallery, Board) as you like—e.g., a Calendar view of the “Itinerary” linked database.
7. Duplicate the whole page for future trips, and you’re ready to start planning!
