## Workflow & Automation Checklist
Step‑by‑step process to keep your finance routine consistent.

1. **Create Project** → add client, set rate, link to Invoices & Expenses.  
2. **Log Time** (optional) → use a simple time‑tracking table and roll‑up hours into the project.  
3. **Generate Invoice** → duplicate the invoice template, fill fields, set status to “Sent”.  
4. **Send Invoice** → export as PDF (Notion → Export) and email client.  
5. **Record Payment** → change status to “Paid”, add Paid Date.  
6. **Enter Expenses** → attach receipt, mark tax‑deductible.  
7. **Monthly Review** → run the Monthly Financial Summary, update Tax Planning.  

> 💡 Tip: Use Notion’s **Reminder** feature on the “Due Date” and “Estimated Tax” dates to never miss a deadline.

## How to import into Notion
1. In Notion, click **Import** → choose **Markdown & CSV**.  
2. Select this `.md` file from your computer.  
3. Notion will create pages for each `##` heading automatically.  
4. For every table marked as a database (Invoices, Clients & Projects, Expenses, etc.):  
   a. Click the table → **Convert to Database**.  
   b. Adjust property types:  
      - Dates → **Date**  
      - Amounts → **Number (currency)**  
      - Status → **Select** (Sent, Paid, Overdue, etc.)  
      - Receipt → **Files & media**  
   c. Add Relations and Rollups as described in each section.  
5. Duplicate the **Invoice** and **Expense** templates (use the three‑dot menu → **Duplicate**) to use as entry templates.  
6. Set up any needed **Reminders** on date properties and enable **Calendar** views for Invoices and Expenses.  
7. Voilà—your freelance finance system is ready!
